N° 40 — October–November 2017

Diptyk #40

Maïmouna Guerresi, Mixed Identities

Diptyk #40 weaves a thread between seemingly unrelated stories, all centered on a single idea: hybridization. On the cover, we meet Maïmouna Guerresi, an Italian-Senegalese artist known for her mystical portraits. We also follow Hassan Hajjaj, the “pope of cool” who splits his time between London and Marrakech, and visit the new Yves Saint Laurent Museum. This October–November 2017 issue also explores the Arab World Photography Biennial and the major breakthrough of contemporary African art in the art market.
