N° 14 — February–March 2012

Diptyk #14

Nermine Hammam's Portfolio: Soldiers of Paradise

The 2012 Marrakech Biennale aims to be progressive and socially engaged, and Diptyk #14 sets out to report on it and see the world in a different light. On the cover, Nermine Hammam’s *Soldiers of Paradise* opens this February–March 2012 issue. It also explores video art in Morocco—conceptual, abstract, and unorthodox—and follows the Saudi art scene and the Tunisian scene as it “shakes off” its taboos. The issue features an interview with Bouchra Khalili. On the art market front, Art Dubai is drawing in collectors, and African contemporary art is undergoing a major transformation.
