N° 17 — February–March 2013

Diptyk #17

The Afronauts, land me on Mars!

Diptyk #17 heads into space with *The Afronauts*, Cristina De Middel’s series that imagines Zambia’s space program of the 1960s: “Get me to Mars!” This February–March 2013 issue features a conversation with Ymane Fakhir, ranging from the personal to the universal, and meets Hicham Berrada, the conduit of energy. It also visits the Tetouan School of Fine Arts, a veritable talent factory, and follows street artist Morran to Mafoder. On the art market front, it shows that pop art remains popular but inaccessible, and that Dubai is banking on artists from the Maghreb.
