Diptyk #35

An African Back-to-School Season

In the fall of 2016, Africa made its presence felt throughout the global contemporary art scene: Diptyk #35 celebrates an African comeback. This October–November issue covers the 1:54 Contemporary African Art Fair in London and AKAA in Paris. It also visits “Essentiel paysage” in Marrakech, an exhibition that confronts Africa with the planet’s challenges in the wake of COP22. It also features a profile of Hicham Berrada by Mouna Mekouar and a portfolio by Thania Petersen, as well as a comprehensive overview of the Marcel Duchamp Prize.
