N° 36 — December 2016–January 2017

Diptych #36

Morocco Makes Its Debut at the Venice Biennale

“Don’t Expect Anything from Artists!”: Diptyk #36 explores what we really expect from artistic creation, caught between stereotypes and the demand for authenticity. This December 2016–January 2017 issue visits the exhibition “Women: Moroccan Artists of Modernity” at the Mohammed VI Museum. It features an interview with Myriam Ben Salah on “de-orientalism” and profiles Amine El Gotaibi, an artist and farmer. It also features a portfolio by Hans Silvester, coverage of the Addis Foto Fest, and an investigation into how six-figure figures are made.
